Fr. Winnicki proved to be a very able host for Council 1429’s Annual Christmas Potluck. Despite the nasty weather, the event was very well attended and a good time was had by all, including Fr Vince Gulikers, Fr David Johnston and District Deputy Joe Sawczuk and his wife Valerie. Several wives of departed knights also attended.
An impromptu tour of the Ukrainian rite church proved to be the highlight of the afternoon and Fr. Winnicki provided interesting facts and historical information on the similarities and differences between the two rites.
A big thank you to the Knights who helped organize the event especially St George’s own Phil Hrycak, Richard Marhue and family and Dave Pirt.
